About Me
My name is Maer (Mah’-er) dos Santos. I am married to Lenir and we are both originally from São Paulo, Brazil. I got a degree in Physics and Mathematics from Guilford College in North Carolina and then went to Drexel University for a Master’s degree in Computer Science. We currently live near Philadelphia where I work as a programmer.
We are members of Vida Nova Brazilian Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and I am one of the writers for our church blog (Portuguese).
It wasn’t until my senior year in College that I felt the desire to read the Bible in its original languages (it’s a long story). Since I had to start somewhere, I picked Hebrew. It was the right choice! It wasn’t until a few years later that I was able to take it more seriously and, as a result, my interest in biblical studies has grown by leaps and bounds.
This blog is the result of my desire to continue to learn.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
